초등학교때 딱 한번 있었던 일~~

Standing in the Corner (벌서기)

I was only a tiny bit naughty,           (난 아주 쬐끔 개구졌을 뿐인데)

But teacher said I must pay,           (선생님은 댓가를 꼭 치뤄야한댄다)

By Standing alone in the corner.     (구석에 혼자서서)

While facing the other way.             (반대쪽을 바라보며)

She thinks I was misbehaving,         (선생님은 내가 나빴다고 생각한다)

Today when I was at school,           (오늘 학교에서)

So I better tell you what I did.           (내가 어쨌는지 말하는게 좋겠지)

I know you'll think teacher was cruel.(틀림없이 선생님이 너무했다고 생각될거야)

First I wouldn't stop talking to Johnny, (난 조니와 말하는걸 그만두기 싫었어)

Then I pulled the new girl's hair,          (그담엔 새로 전학온 계집애의 머리카락을 잡아 당겼지)

I ate my cookie at story time,             (선생님이 이야기를 읽어 주는 시간에 쿠키를                                                         먹었고)

And hid Lucy's "show and tell" bear.   (루씨의 "보여주며 말하기"에 쓸 곰인형을                                                        숨겼어)

So that's why I stood in the corner,   (그래서 내가 구석에서 벌선거야)

With nothing to do at all,                  (전혀 아무것도 하지않고)

I think its an aweful waste of time,     (그건 완죤 시간낭비야)

With my face towards the wall.          (벽만 바라본 채로)

Did you ever stand in the corner,         (구석에서 벌 서본적 있어?)

Where there's nothing at all to see,      (볼것 하나도 없는 곳)

If teacher had given me a story book,    (선생님이 이야기책을 주었더라면)

I'd have been happy as happy could be.(그 이상 좋았을 수 없었을 텐데)
